Why Contribute

Build Your Portfolio

Get published on a site read by thousands of UK resident doctors. Use it on your CV, show it at interviews, or link it in applications. Every contributor receives a portfolio certificate.

Help Your Peers

You know something that would have helped you as a junior doctor. Write it down. Career advice, exam tips, speciality guides, and honest experiences are what our readers value most.

Get Rewarded

Selected articles may be eligible for a contributor fee. We also offer portfolio certificates for every published piece, and opportunities to build an ongoing relationship as a regular contributor.

Our Standards

Our readers are busy doctors looking for genuinely useful content. We have high standards because they deserve it — but we're here to help you meet them.

If you're new to writing or unsure about your idea, that's completely fine. We work closely with contributors to develop pieces, offer feedback on drafts, and help shape articles into something you'll be proud of. The most important thing is that your content comes from real experience and a genuine desire to help.

What we don't accept

  • ×AI-generated content. We can tell, and so can our readers. Every article must be written by a human being drawing on genuine experience.
  • ×Plagiarised or recycled content. We expect original work. Don't copy someone else's article or repurpose something published elsewhere.
  • ×Promotional pieces or “guest posts”. If your real goal is a backlink or promoting a product, this isn't the right place.
  • ×Submissions from non-healthcare writers. Our content is written by doctors and healthcare professionals for doctors. We don't accept submissions from people outside the profession.
