Common questions

How does the free tier work?
List up to three courses with up to 20 outbound clicks per month, completely free. Your courses appear in the directory and on relevant category pages alongside paid providers. If your free clicks are exhausted before the end of the month, get in touch and we'll work out the right paid arrangement for you.
What counts as a "click"?
Every time a visitor clicks through from one of your MedCourse listings to your own website. Each visitor is deduplicated within a 1-hour window so accidental double-clicks don't count against your allowance.
How is the 10% commission tracked?
We help you set up affiliate tracking on your existing booking system — typically a WordPress plugin, WooCommerce hook, or a Refersion / Awin / Impact account if you have one. Where that's not possible, we use the pay-per-click alternative instead.
What if I can't set up affiliate tracking?
No problem — pay-per-click is the alternative. £1 per click through to your site, billed at the end of each month. You only pay for traffic we actually send you.
How does the £20/month minimum work?
You pick one billing model — 10% commission on tracked sales, or £1 per click-through. Your monthly bill is whichever is higher: £20, or what your chosen model came to that month. So if you're on commission and earn £35 of commission, you pay £35. If you only earned £8 of commission, you pay the £20 floor.
I run a Royal College / NHS Trust / charity — does that change anything?
Yes. We offer exemptions for not-for-profit medical education providers and national bodies. Get in touch with details of your organisation and we'll set you up.
Can I switch from free to paid later?
Of course. Most providers start on free, see how the traffic looks, and upgrade once they're ready. We'll help you make the switch in minutes.
Do you handle payments for the courses themselves?
No — bookings and payments happen on your own site. MedCourse is a discovery layer that sends traffic to you. You keep full ownership of the customer relationship.
