About this course
This 7-hour live webinar course is aligned with the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) Learning Outcomes for CT Colonography. Delivered by Ms. Louisa Edwards, an Advanced Practice Radiographer and Wales CT Colon Lead with extensive experience in clinical leadership and educational development, the course combines interactive teaching with real scrollable DICOM cases to build practical competency in CT Colonography from patient preparation through structured reporting.
The course is designed for radiographers who perform or report CT Colonography examinations, and is also suitable for radiologists and radiology trainees developing their CTC skills — whether you are new to the modality or looking to formalise and strengthen your existing practice.
What you will learn:
• Bowel preparation protocols and best-practice informed consent processes
• Colonic anatomy, normal variants, and confident navigation of the colon
• CT Colonography pathology recognition and key differentials
• Scanning protocols, image acquisition, and quality control standards
• Structured reporting strategies and how to avoid common pitfalls
• Quality control and pitfall recognition for reliable examinations
The 7-module curriculum covers patient preparation and consent, scan techniques and protocols, imaging acquisition, colonic anatomy and normal variants, pathology recognition, reporting strategies, and pitfalls and quality control. Each module builds practical, immediately applicable skills you can use from the day after the course.
Attendees receive a CPD accredited certificate of completion suitable for portfolio and appraisal purposes, full access to scrollable DICOM cases during the course, course materials, and a live Q&A session with the faculty. The course is delivered as a live interactive webinar to maximise learning through real-time discussion and case review.
