One Day Clinical Skills PACES Course

Intelligent PACES is the UK's most intensive PACES preparation course, awarded Best Intensive PACES Preparation Course at the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards 2025. The course is designed for doctors preparing for the MRCP PACES exam (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills).

The course stands out through its commitment to teaching intensity and quality. A defining feature is the strict ratio of no more than two candidates per bedside with one instructor per patient — the highest ratio in the UK. Candidates have the option to book a SOLO place, where they receive 1:1 teaching with an instructor at every patient station. This level of personalised attention ensures that exam skills, case presentation, and clinical management are thoroughly critiqued.

Intelligent PACES delivers the equivalent of four days' worth of teaching compressed into a single-day intensive format. This means exceptionally high volume, high intensity, and maximum efficiency — every candidate works very hard to maximise learning outcomes. The course is strictly limited to 64 places per date to maintain the highest quality teaching without overcrowding.

The course is delivered across multiple sessions throughout the year, with both in-person Clinical Skills sessions at Barts Heart Centre in London and separate Virtual Communication Skills sessions. Instructors have selected and curated the best cases you are likely to encounter in the PACES exam, ensuring realistic, high-quality clinical education.
