Bromley Emergency Courses offers three FRCEM Final OSCE exam preparation options designed to help trainees apply clinical knowledge and skills in exam-like scenarios: a 2-day in-person course, a 1-day online course, and a 3-hour in-person mock exam.
The 2-day in-person FRCEM OSCE course (£795) runs over two days with 40–50 stations aligned to the 2021 RCEM curriculum. Participants engage in every station with 1 minute to read scenarios and 8 minutes to complete each station, followed by 5-minute personal feedback from faculty and professional actors. Stations cover Complex Stable Patient (SLO1), EPIC (SLO7/8), Supervision and Teaching (SLO9), Resuscitation (SLO3), Paediatric Emergency Medicine (SLO5), Management (SLO12), and Research (SLO10). A particular focus is given to Critical Literature Appraisal, where each candidate receives a one-to-one 8-minute discussion with faculty to review a paper, followed by group discussion exploring potential exam questions. Groups are kept to 4–5 participants. Includes 6 months free access to pre-recorded FRCEM OSCE videos.
The 1-day online FRCEM OSCE course (£345) is delivered via Zoom with 16–20 stations, focusing on communication, teaching, management skills, and CLA components suited to online delivery. Participants receive 1 minute to read scenarios, 8 minutes to complete stations, and personal feedback from faculty and actors. The format replicates exam conditions in a real-time interactive setting. Group size is limited to 4. Also includes 6 months free access to pre-recorded FRCEM OSCE videos.
The 3-hour in-person FRCEM OSCE mock exam (£295) replicates the real exam environment with 16 stations covering resuscitation, paediatrics, management, teaching, and more, plus 2 rest stations. There is no personal faculty feedback, but detailed summary sheets outlining key assessment criteria are provided at the end. This option allows trainees to challenge themselves under authentic exam conditions. Also includes 6 months free access to pre-recorded FRCEM OSCE videos.
All courses are taught by experienced emergency medicine consultants including Dr Ian Stell, Dr Laura Hunter, and Dr Rob Kalebka. The provider has 21 years of experience teaching EM and PoCUS courses to over 23,000 clinicians, with an average Google review score of 4.9 out of 5.
