About this course
This course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of senior trainees in educational practice within a clinical setting. Run by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the Training the Clinical Trainer course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to develop and deliver high-quality clinical education.
The course is delivered online over a period of 1–16 September 2026, allowing participants to engage with the material flexibly while benefiting from structured, expert-led teaching. It is designed specifically for senior trainees who are taking on or developing teaching and mentoring responsibilities within their clinical practice.
Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills applicable directly to their clinical training environment, including strategies for effective teaching delivery, learner feedback, and the management of the clinical learning environment. The course equips trainees with the confidence and competence to enhance the educational experience of the doctors and students they work with.
