The Medset CST Interview Course prepares doctors for the Core Surgical Training interview, where over 5,000 applicants compete for fewer than 600 posts. This comprehensive on-demand course combines expert content with structured frameworks, practical scenarios, and insider tips from recent high-scoring candidates.
The course covers everything you need to excel on interview day: clear frameworks for each station, step-by-step guidance on delivering concise, high-scoring answers under pressure, and practical tools to refine your delivery. The 2026 CST interview format includes two 15-minute virtual stations delivered via Qpercom: a combined Management and Clinical station with three questions (one management, two clinical scenarios), and a Portfolio station where you present an achievement before answering portfolio-domain questions based on your evidence categories.
Each module mirrors the real CST interview structure. You'll develop strategies to manage time pressure, follow-up questions, and common pitfalls. The course focuses on domains that carry the most marks: clinical judgement in emergency and post-operative scenarios, management and leadership decision-making, professionalism under pressure, and effective communication.
