About this course
This continuing professional development program is designed to enhance comprehension of both normal and pathological presentations in orthopaedic radiology. The course is approved by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Recognition number RCSEd02956) and awards 12 CPD points. Upon completion, participants will possess the expertise required to identify and explain important radiographic measurements pertaining to the upper and lower limbs as well as the spine, which can be utilized in making informed decisions in the orthopaedic field.
The course is available for 1–2 months, during which participants can access learning materials and complete the course at their own pace through an online, self-paced platform. It includes 44 lessons across 12 modules structured as a comprehensive journey through orthopaedic radiology.
The course structure encompasses:
- Case studies
- Demonstrations of normal anatomical structures
- Trauma-related conditions
- Elective orthopaedic conditions
- Paediatric and spinal conditions
Content delivery includes lectures, quizzes, case studies, and summary sheets. Participants will work with experienced orthopaedic surgeons as instructors. Quizzes offer the option to retake, allowing learners to consolidate knowledge. The course is approved by both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the CPD Group – UK.
