About this course
The Urology ST3 National Selection interview is one of the most competitive stages in surgical training – a 60-minute, four-station viva where over three applicants compete for every post. This course gives you everything you need to excel on interview day: clear frameworks for each station, step-by-step guidance from high-scoring trainees and consultant urologists, and practical tools to refine your delivery.
Every module mirrors the real Urology ST3 interview – its structure, timing, and pressure – so your preparation feels focused and realistic. You'll learn the skills that consistently separate high-scoring candidates at national selection, applying proven frameworks across clinical, management, and communication stations while targeting the domains that carry the most marks and make the biggest difference to your overall score.
The course is created by Sean Rezvani FRCS (Urol), a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Chief Investigator of a UK cancer research study, alongside high-scoring trainees who've successfully navigated the national selection process themselves. Content covers 40+ expert topics including outpatient stations (renal stones, urinary incontinence, male LUTS, recurrent UTI, visible haematuria, renal mass, raised PSA, testicular lump, paediatric cases, erectile dysfunction), emergency scenarios (post-op complications, urethral trauma, priapism, acute urinary retention, infected obstructed kidney, acute scrotum, renal trauma, post-TURP bleed, TUR syndrome, metastatic spinal cord compression, post-TRUS sepsis, Fournier's gangrene, peri-operative anaphylaxis, post-nephrectomy bleed), communication roleplays, and clinical skills demonstrations. The platform includes a question bank with over 120 clinical questions, discussion board access, and a knowledge hub.
You can also opt for a live mock interview with personalised feedback on structure, timing, and delivery, delivered online via Zoom to reflect the real interview format. The online course offers instant access and self-paced learning, whilst mock interviews are scheduled for specific dates.
