About this course
Medset's Train The Trainers Course is a CPD-accredited programme designed to help doctors and healthcare professionals develop recognised teaching skills. Created by Professor Judy McKimm (Professor of Medical Education) and Francis Ugwu (General Surgical Registrar and Clinical Educator), the course teaches you how to plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions, facilitate groups confidently, give constructive feedback, and apply adult learning theory in everyday practice. The course is aligned with GMC Good Medical Practice and the Domains of Teaching, Supervision and Assessment, tailored to NHS training environments.
The course is suitable for all doctors, physician associates, dentists, nurses, allied health professionals, and managers involved in teaching or supervision. It's recognised for portfolio, specialty interviews, job applications, and CCT purposes. Medset offers two flexible formats: self-paced online access (instant access to modules, 2-day equivalent duration) or live tutor-led virtual classroom sessions with interactive discussion and real-time feedback.
