About this course
A 2-day hands-on bootcamp course designed for MSK healthcare professionals seeking advanced proficiency in ultrasound imaging of the ankle and foot. Run by SonoSkills and led by expert trainer Robert Wonink, this course combines in-person practical training with professionally recorded eLearning content.
The bootcamp teaches advanced diagnostic ultrasound techniques for quick and accurate identification of ankle and foot pathologies, including regions and anatomical details rarely covered at foundational level such as talar trochlear cartilage, talofibular ligaments, subtalar joint evaluation sites, laciniate ligament, accessory navicular, tibial nerve branches, peroneal tendons, and nerves of the foot and ankle. Participants learn to differentiate normal anatomy from common MSK pathologies, understand the role of ultrasound in diagnosis and management of ankle and foot injuries, and apply advanced techniques to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
The course is delivered as blended learning, combining online and onsite instruction. Classroom teaching provides personalized learning and social interaction, while 6 months of on-demand eLearning access (over 100 videos, totaling 12+ hours of content) offers flexibility before, during, and after the course—a value of €475 included in registration. Participants benefit from a 3:1 participant-to-ultrasound-machine ratio, ensuring hands-on practice time under close expert supervision.
The bootcamp is held over 2 days (9:00–17:00 daily) in Amsterdam, Netherlands, close to the city centre and airport. The detailed 2-day program covers specialized topics including the sesamoidocapital complex, flexor tendon sheaths, spring ligament complex, subtalar joint anatomy, posterior recesses, talofibular ligaments, talar trochlear cartilage, and multiple nerve pathways. Prerecorded demonstrations of ultrasound-guided injection and neurectomy procedures are also included.
