About this course
Join SonoSkills' advanced 2-day boot camp taught by expert trainer Marc Schmitz and master advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound of the shoulder girdle. This intensive course provides in-depth coverage of sonoanatomy, clinical demonstrations, and sonopathology across multiple shoulder regions including the pectoralis major, rotator interval, coracoid process, sternoclavicular joint, rotator cuff muscles, nerves, axilla, and scapular muscles. The course assumes foundational shoulder protocol knowledge and takes learners well beyond introductory level into specialized anatomy and pathology never covered at foundational training.
The Advanced MSK Ultrasound of the Shoulder Bootcamp is a blended learning programme combining 2 days of intensive hands-on training with 6 months of on-demand eLearning access. The course includes over 190 videos totaling 20 hours of content covering lectures on sonoanatomy, pathology, clinical examination, case discussions, and split-screen demonstration videos. You'll benefit from a 3:1 participant-to-ultrasound-machine ratio ensuring excellent tutoring and plenty of hands-on scanning time. The course is designed for international attendees and delivered in English.
The boot camp format offers significant advantages over traditional training: you spend less time away from clinical practice, learn MSK ultrasound fundamentals more quickly with a steep initial learning curve, receive more intensive tutoring, and can potentially combine the course with leisure time exploring Amsterdam. The 2-day intensity is ideal for busy clinicians wanting rapid skill acquisition.
This course is designed for any MSK healthcare professional with interest in the shoulder girdle—radiologists, rheumatologists, sports physicians, general practitioners, physiotherapists, and other primary and secondary healthcare professionals seeking to improve diagnostic capabilities and enhance their ability to manage musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Advanced knowledge and skills in shoulder MSK ultrasound are essential because shoulder problems are common and represent one of the most affected joints in clinical practice. Shoulder sonography is the most relevant and popular topic in MSK ultrasound, offering a non-invasive, cost-effective diagnostic tool.
