About this course
Join SonoSkills' expert faculty for an advanced MSK ultrasound boot camp focused on the forearm, wrist, hand, thumb, and fingers. This intensive 2-day hands-on course provides valuable insights into sonoanatomy, sonopathology, and technical scanning pearls and pitfalls, designed to help clinicians develop advanced diagnostic skills in this challenging region.
The boot camp format delivers multiple advantages: you spend minimal time away from clinical practice, accelerate your learning with an intensive curriculum offering a steep initial learning curve, and receive intense tutoring with a 3:1 participant-to-ultrasound ratio. The course combines theory and hands-on practice to build confidence in performing advanced ultrasound exams and interpreting findings accurately.
Key learning outcomes include:
• Advanced ultrasound techniques for the forearm, wrist, hand, thumb, and fingers, including optimization of ultrasound images and identification of anatomical structures
• Advanced proficiency in performing comprehensive exams, identifying normal and abnormal anatomy, and recognizing common pathologies
• Identification of complex MSK pathologies using the SonoSkills pathology checklist, such as peripheral nerve entrapment syndromes, carpal instability, and ligamentous injuries
• Accurate interpretation of ultrasound findings and differentiation between normal and abnormal anatomy
• Clinical reasoning skills in MSK ultrasound
• Appropriate development of treatment plans based on ultrasound findings
The course includes 6 months of eLearning access in addition to the 2-day hands-on intensive. Expert faculty members include founder Marc Schmitz and Certified Hand Therapist Tom Lattré. Upon completion, participants receive a SonoSkills Certificate of Attendance and proof of CME points.
