FRCEM OSCE Mock Exam

Bromley Emergency Courses offers three distinct FRCEM Final OSCE exam preparation formats to help doctors practice and refine their clinical skills in exam-like conditions. All courses are aligned with the 2021 RCEM curriculum and include access to pre-recorded FRCEM OSCE videos for 6 months.

The 2-day in-person OSCE course (40–50 stations) provides comprehensive practice with 1-minute reading time and 8 minutes per station, followed by 5-minute personal faculty feedback. Stations cover all exam types including Complex Stable Patient, EPIC, Supervision & Teaching, Resuscitation, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Management, and Critical Literature Appraisal. Group sizes are 4–5 candidates, and practice includes professional actors and one-to-one paper review discussions.

The 1-day online OSCE course (16–20 stations) focuses on communication, management, teaching, and Critical Literature Appraisal stations delivered via Zoom in real-time exam conditions. Group size is 4, and candidates receive 1-minute reading and 8-minute station times with faculty feedback. This option is ideal for those unable to travel.

The half-day in-person mock exam (18 stations including 2 rest stations) simulates the actual exam environment with no personal feedback but comprehensive summary sheets provided. The rotation lasts around 3 hours with professional actors and covers diverse scenarios such as resuscitation, paediatrics, management, and teaching.

All three formats include practice with professional actors who regularly assist on courses, ensuring realistic clinical scenarios.
