About this course
In this two-hour interactive webinar, Dr Ian Stell explores subjects relevant to candidates preparing for the FRCEM SBA exam, with much of the content also useful for those sitting the MRCEM SBA. The session focuses on areas where significant new research or updated guidelines have emerged in recent international literature.
Dr Stell is an experienced emergency medicine consultant and renowned educator with over 20 years of experience in medical education, particularly in MRCEM/FRCEM exam preparation. He has a gift for making complex subjects accessible and easy to understand.
Key topics covered:
• Head injury
• Acute behavioural disturbance
• Toxicology management
• Discharge communication
• Falls in the elderly and medication review
• Paediatric red flags for non-accidental injury
This is an interactive SBA-style test session. We recommend using two devices: one (e.g. laptop/tablet) to join the Zoom session, and another (e.g. smartphone) to submit your answers in real-time. After each question, Dr Stell will break down the correct answer and provide guidance based on current best practice and recent guidelines. A video recording of the webinar will be available for 72 hours after you receive it.
Special offer: If you've booked a place on the upcoming 2-day MRCEM Intermediate SBA or FRCEM Final SBA course, you'll get free access to the live webinar.
