About this course
This half-day morning course is ideal for clinicians with little or no previous ultrasound experience. It provides a foundational introduction to the use of transabdominal ultrasound in gynaecology and early pregnancy, with a strong emphasis on developing core skills in image acquisition and probe handling. You'll gain confidence in using ultrasound equipment and interpreting basic pelvic anatomy.
The course is delivered by Bromley Emergency Courses, a provider with 21 years of teaching experience in point-of-care ultrasound, having trained over 23,000 clinicians.
Learning outcomes include mastering ultrasound equipment handling and image optimisation, understanding TA pelvic sonoanatomy and technique, and developing skills in identifying early pregnancy on ultrasound.
The course combines pre-course preparation videos, short lectures covering ultrasound fundamentals, and hands-on transabdominal scanning practice on simulators, manikins, and live models.
Special offer: Add the Introduction to Transvaginal Scanning course, scheduled for the afternoon of the same day, and save £40 (total saving when booking both courses together).
