About the course
This clinically focused course offers a practical overview of paediatric neuroimaging, helping clinicians decide when to refer for imaging and how to interpret key findings.
Participants will review normal brain development, imaging protocols, myelination patterns, and common perinatal abnormalities, then explore structured approaches to imaging in acute neonatal and emergency paediatric settings.
Using pattern-based teaching, the course covers neurogenetic and neurometabolic disorders, CNS infection and inflammation, posterior fossa malformations and tumours, epilepsy imaging, and common paediatric neck masses. A dedicated session on abusive head trauma reviews essential imaging findings and current controversies.
Learning is reinforced with practical pearls, diagnostic pitfalls, and an interactive case-based quiz.
