About this course
This intensive one-day course offers healthcare professionals a unique opportunity to deepen expertise in regenerative medicine with a focus on Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) interventions in musculoskeletal (MSK) practice. Designed and delivered by sports medicine doctor Alberto Schek, the workshop combines theoretical knowledge with practical, real-life demonstrations to cover the latest advancements in PRP application.
The course is structured across a single full day (08:30–17:30) with a balanced mix of lecture-based learning, live patient demonstrations, and interactive Q&A. Participants will observe four live patient treatments throughout the day, allowing them to see ultrasound-guided PRP injection techniques applied in real clinical settings. The program also introduces Ultrasound-Guided Electrolysis Therapy (USGET) as a complementary regenerative approach.
Learning outcomes include:
• Explaining the principles of PRP therapy and its application in MSK injuries
• Describing evidence-based benefits and limitations of PRP interventions supported by current literature
• Executing proper venipuncture techniques and PRP preparation using leading PRP system technologies
• Integrating USGET into treatment plans to support tissue healing and optimize patient outcomes
• Demonstrating best practices for patient assessment and preparation in regenerative sports medicine procedures
• Applying PRP intervention techniques effectively in clinical and procedural settings
The course is designed for healthcare professionals specializing in sports medicine, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pain management. Ideal participants include sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other clinicians seeking to expand expertise in regenerative treatments and incorporate advanced PRP interventions into their practice. The course takes place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, close to the city center, with expert faculty and a small-group format suited for hands-on learning.
