About this course
This one-day, hands-on ultrasound course is designed to help clinicians develop essential point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills for emergency and acute care practice. Created by ED Consultants with a special interest in POCUS, the course provides a practical and interactive approach to mastering ultrasound techniques used in real clinical settings.
Participants will learn to identify free fluid and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), perform ultrasound-guided vascular access, and conduct focused echocardiography during cardiac arrest. The course also includes essential teaching on ultrasound physics, image interpretation, and governance principles to ensure safe and effective practice.
