About this course
The Resuscitation Symposium 2025 is an on-demand online course designed for Emergency Physicians, Acute Physicians, Anaesthetists, and Intensivists. It is pitched at a level suitable for Consultants and senior trainees in all areas of acute care and focuses on recent advances in resuscitation medicine.
The course comprises short interactive lectures featuring case scenarios followed by Q&A sessions. The programme covers a range of clinically relevant topics selected based on recent impact, evidence from COVID-19, and feedback from emergency and acute medicine practitioners. Lectures are delivered by experienced specialists from leading UK hospitals, including content on shock recognition and resuscitation, airway management, acid-base disturbances, blood and blood product use, echo-guided diagnosis, trauma resuscitation, GI haemorrhage, cardiogenic shock, and septic shock.
By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of recent advances in resuscitation medicine, be up to date with new and recent research evidence and its implications for practice, gain greater confidence in their clinical practice, and identify skills and knowledge gaps relevant to their practice. The course contributes to developing effective team management for doctors from a variety of backgrounds who are actively delivering emergency and acute care.
Viewers will be asked to evaluate each session and will be provided with a CPD certificate upon completion. The course provides 12 CPD credits. Access is available for 120 days with unlimited playback and the opportunity to submit questions directly to the faculty.
