About this course
This ST1 Radiology interview preparation course is designed by The Surgical Interview Academy to equip applicants with the resources and techniques used by the highest-scoring trainees. The course is led by Ash, founder of The Surgical Interview Academy, who has recruited top-performing trainees across specialties to deliver expert-quality materials.
The course provides a comprehensive suite of study materials and interview-preparation resources:
• General Resources: Clinical Radiology Workforce Census, Introduction for New Registrars, Person Specification 2023, Duty of Candour, REALM, Good Medical Practice, IR(ME)R regulations, and Training Pathway documentation
• General Interview Questions: videos covering commitment to specialty, attributes and skills, and further interview questions
• Ethical and Situational Scenarios: detailed ethical scenarios and real-world situational interview practice with model answers
• One-on-one coaching sessions: optional 1-to-1 interview coaching with recent previous trainees
The materials are designed to cover the key buzzwords, common interview questions, specialty knowledge, and practical tips that lead to success in the ST1 Radiology interview. The course emphasizes that specialty interviews require early preparation, consistent practice, and high-yield focused work — there are no shortcuts to interview success.
Rather than relying solely on written resources, the course encourages learners to practise verbalizing their answers and engaging in mock interview scenarios to receive feedback and track progress. The subscription model also provides weekly interview scenarios to keep learners engaged throughout their preparation journey.
