About this course
An intensive, case-based head and neck imaging course delivered over two days (26–27 November 2026) designed for consultant radiologists and experienced radiologists seeking an update on head and neck imaging interpretation and reporting practice. The course emphasises imaging patients with suspected head and neck cancer while also covering temporal bones and paranasal sinuses.
Course format combines very short interactive presentations with hands-on case discussions using a cloud-based DICOM viewer (PostDICOM) and live Q&A sessions. Each topic session includes anatomy refreshers, practical imaging guidance (sequences and planes), reporting checklists, and task-based case learning with immediate feedback from faculty experts. Participants work through cases on their own screens alongside the faculty, with the ability to manipulate and review imaging data in real time.
Topics covered include compartmental anatomy overview, nasopharynx and skull base, oral cavity and oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, temporal bones, paranasal sinuses, and a mixed case review with quiz. The course is highly interactive, using polling software (Slido) and chat facilities to encourage participation and questions throughout.
By the end of the course, delegates will have a comprehensive understanding of best imaging interpretation practice, improved imaging interpretation skills, greater confidence in advanced practice, and the ability to identify knowledge gaps and plan further development.
All attendees receive a CPD certificate of attendance for 12 CPD points (Royal College of Radiologists accreditation), live online access across both days via Webex/Teams, 90 days of on-demand access to the recorded course with unlimited playback, full access to the DICOM case database to review at their own pace, and the opportunity to interact directly with faculty members.
