About this course
This is an advanced, case-based course designed for General Radiologists and Radiologists at District General Hospitals (DGHs) who are increasingly reporting paediatric imaging. The three-day programme takes place on 1, 2, and 3 February 2027, delivered live and online via Webex or Teams, with 90 days of on-demand catch-up access following the event.
The course provides a comprehensive CPD package covering all major paediatric radiology topics, from head and neck imaging through to trauma, emergency imaging, and management of suspected inflicted injuries. The course is delivered using an interactive case-based approach with short introductory lectures followed by live case scenarios, discussion, and Q&A sessions. All imaging is presented via a cloud-based DICOM viewer (PostDICOM), allowing participants to independently review and manipulate cases whilst faculty provide expert feedback and guidance.
The faculty comprise consultant paediatric radiologists from leading UK children's hospitals including Sheffield Children's Hospital, Great Ormond Street, Alder Hey, King's College Hospital, and others. The course is led by Prof Amaka Offiah and Dr Caren Landes, both experts in paediatric musculoskeletal imaging and safeguarding imaging.
Key topics covered include:
• Head and neck imaging, including brain tumours, infection, and trauma
• Gastrointestinal imaging in neonates and infants
• Chest imaging: congenital, infectious, and traumatic pathology
• Genito-urinary imaging
